		<description>Incidentally, since you mention the Abelson/Sussman SICP lectures, there&#039;s another example there, where they build cons cells out of pure functions.  It&#039;s a construction that I first saw from Barendregt, but I&#039;m sure it&#039;s older than that.</description>

		<description>Indeed, but the blog post (of yours?) that I linked to only had the argument that code is a subset of data; i.e., only one side of the picture.  So I wrote about the other direction, which is at least as interesting.</description>
